YouTube added profiles to their kid friendly app. The design of the app is customizable to a certain extent and changes according to the child’s age, less text for the youngins and more text for the older kids. New parental settings are easy to put in place and make it so that only kid friendly content is filtered through.
Up to 10 kids accounts can be set up through one regular YouTube account, so that should cover most families. Each child can set up their own password so that no nosy siblings can log in, but the parent account can override their child’s password if they need to.
YouTube Kids was first established by their parent company in 2015, and has since achieved 70 billion views in 37 countries.
