Ever wish you had a shoe that could go anywhere? Tropic is that shoe — except for formalwear unless you’re a bold mother trucker. These are without a doubt the most versatile adventure shoes we’ve ever seen. Tropic Footwear has the quick-drying ability of water shoes, the look and comfort of athletic trainers, and the sole of a hiking shoe. They know no bounds as they can just as easily storm the grimy pavement of NYC or hike the unbelievable landscape of the Rainbow Mountain in Peru.
Tropic shoes are a minimalists dream. All too often there is a need specialized shoes that force you to fill up your closet and suitcase, when in fact, there can be a shoe that anticipates any terrain and lets you move across it with comfort and style.
These shoes were created by avid outdoors people who love to hike, camp, sail, and surf. They all wanted to travel light and saw the same pain point — they were taking too many pairs of shoes on their trips. What happened next was not easy or even thought to be conceivable, but the people at Tropic designed one pair of shoes to suit all of their outdoor needs.
You may think a shoe you cross a river with would eventually smell, but Tropic shoes are made with Agion, a powerful antimicrobial, anti-odor, and water repellent material. It’s what keeps them fresh and lets them breathe when they are submerged in water.
Other Awesome Features:
- Vegan-friendly – made with no animal products

The only downside is that they only currently come in sizes 7-11.5 for men (USA) and 6.5-10 for women, which gets almost everyone but the people outside that range will have to wait. They are currently available on their website.
