Facebook refuses to stop its quest to become the center of the internet. Zuckerberg and Co. have doubled down on siphoning content creators away from YouTube and television by releasing the app entitled ‘Facebook Creator.’ With the use of Creator, Facebook will endow people with the ability to stream video, update stories, and access to analytics regarding their content.
The app will have a kit loaded with tools that add intros, outros, custom stickers, and frames to live streams, in order to give their Facebook Live broadcast a sense of legitimacy. Users will be able to post content on other platforms and will have a single inbox to field comments from Facebook itself, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram.
With all these tools at their disposal, content creators are bound to have questions of where to begin, which is why has launched this Facebook for creators page. There you can find announcements, Q&A’s with other creators, and general support.
Right now the only thing standing in the way of creators storming over to Facebook is monetization. As of right now, the only options are branded content with the partnership tagging feature. Facebook’s Ad Breaks is currently in beta but it could fulfill that role in the future if creators are seeing the majority of that revenue.
