Introducing the newest S.T.E.M. product for children ages 5 – 13 – Algobrix. Algobrix combines fun activities for your kid while teaching them the basics of coding.
What is Algobrix?
The basis behind Algobrix is to teach kids how to code by guiding them through the steps of programming a robot’s movements. Rather than complicated and boring scripts to right, kids arrange blocks in a tangible way that is true to real coding.
The creators set out to make coding accessible and tangible for kids everywhere by utilizing LEGO compatible building blocks.
What They Will Learn
Before continuing – fear not mom’s and dads who do not know anything about coding. Algobrix allows you to play along with your child without any previous knowledge of coding.
Instead of just teaching your kid to think like a programmer, Algobrix teaches children to actually program a robot. Coding through bricks – not syntax.
Your children will learn about:
- Parameters and Functions
- Loops
- Multithreading
- Inputs and Conditions
- Robot Navigation
- Command Sequencing
- Algorithmic Thinking
- If This Then That
- LED & Motors
- Functions
- Real-time Debugging
- And Much More!
And it’s just like real code:
Algobrix Parts
The AlgoBot
The AlgoBot Brain
The AlgoBot Sensors
The Function Blocks
The Parameter Blocks
Debugging and Error Lights
Algobrix seems to be the perfect solution to allow your children to have fun, while learning important coding functions. I personally remember spending hours daily building LEGO structures as a child, and can only imagine how much fun I would have had with Algobrix.
